Ennis Regional Medical Center Shares Its 2025 Community Benefit Report
The report highlights the hospital’s continued impact on the health and economic vitality of the Ennis area.
ENNIS, Texas (June 3, 2026) – Ennis Regional Medical Center today published its community benefit and economic impact report for the 2025 calendar year. The report shares several data points detailing how the hospital continues to support the health, well-being, and economic strength of Ennis and the surrounding communities.

This report shares some of the ways we contribute to a greater Ennis as a large taxpayer, employer, and essential piece of the area’s safety net in terms of the charitable care we provide.”
Expanding Services and Investing in Care
In 2025, Ennis Regional welcomed six affiliated providers across Family Medicine, Orthopedics, Pain Management, and Urology. The hospital also invested more than $1.2 million in capital improvements, including a new 3D mammography system, surgical instruments, exam tables, a steam sterilization system, and a new fire alarm system – enhancing both patient care and safety.
Supporting Patients and Strengthening the Local Economy
Ennis Regional provided more than $24 million in health services to individuals in need, underscoring its commitment to ensuring access to care for all, regardless of ability to pay.
The hospital also invested in its workforce, distributing more than $9 million in salaries, wages, and benefits to its approximately 110 employees. Nearly $50,000 was dedicated to professional development and tuition assistance to support ongoing learning and improved clinical expertise.
A Strong Community Partner
Beyond its clinical services, Ennis Regional contributed more than $6 million in provider, payroll, property, and sales taxes in 2025 – reinforcing its role as a responsible community partner and economic driver.
The hospital also supported numerous local organizations and events, including the Ennis Chamber of Commerce, Ennis Economic Development, and Meals on Wheels of Ennis, among others.
