Doug Holzbog
Chief Executive Officer
Doug Holzbog joined Ennis Regional Medical Center as Chief Executive Officer in April 2024. Doug brings 30+ years of experience from varying healthcare fields. Doug has held a series of Senior Leadership positions in both Physician and Hospital Operations in Durant and Lawton Oklahoma; Paris, Texas: and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Doug also owned and managed a medical and billing company for 20+ years. Doug graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration-Healthcare Managements from Western Governor’s University following his Bachelors of Science-Biology from Texas A&M-Commerce. A native Texan, having spent his childhood years in Forestburg, Texas, and raising his family in Denison, Texas, Doug and his wife, Charla, have four children that are now raising their own wonderful families. In his spare time, Doug enjoys time with family and friends, all forms of fishing, live music, and being outdoors.

Mark Massey
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Massey joined the Ennis Regional team in 2022 in the dual roles of Chief Financial Officer and Ethics and Compliance Officer adding CFO/ECO responsibilities for our sister facility, Parkview Regional Hospital.
He served as CFO at Western Plains Medical Complex, overseeing the coordination and administration of the Finance Department, IT Department, Plant Operations, Materials Management, Admissions, Central Scheduling, Medical Records, Coding, Revenue Integrity, Case Management, and Business Office.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, is a Certified Public Accountant, and also a member of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Mark lives in Mexia, is married to Tiffany and they share 2 children, Emma and Landon. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, being outdoors and taking his boat fishing.
Penny Nole
Chief Nursing Officer
Penny Nole joined Ennis Regional Medical Center as Chief Nursing Officer in September 2024. She started her nursing career in 1993 as a student nurse extender. Once graduating in 1994, she worked in a telemetry unit at an HCA hospital in Bowling Green Ky. Penny worked there in various capacities: ICU, ED, Endoscopy, Nursery, post-partum, SDS, Infusion clinic, house supervisor, Director of Medical and TCU, Director of ICU, telemetry and dialysis as well as serving as stroke and sepsis coordinator. After leaving in 2017, she transitioned to a critical access hospital as Director of Nursing where she served for 2 years. During that time, she was over outpatient psychiatric services as well as all clinical services. Penny served ACNO at Paris Regional Hospital through Lifepoint then transitioned to Andalusia Hospital and served as CNO until coming to Ennis Regional Medical Center.
Penny has been married 32 years to her husband who is a retired principal and together they share 4 grown children, 1 grandchild, and 2 dogs.
Tim O'Neal
Chief Operating Officer
Tim O’Neal, MBA, BSN, RN, joined Parkview Regional Hospital and Ennis Regional Medical Center as Chief Operating Officer in 2024 after working as a Project Executive for ScionHealth – serving as Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer – at facilities in Ohio and Wyoming.
Born and raised in a small town in West Virginia, Tim has more than 20 years of healthcare experience in nursing complemented by more than 15 years of leadership experience in large-scale, fast-paced healthcare settings. He’s served patients and communities in various capacities, from Emergency Room and Trauma nursing to the ICU, to instructing the next generations of caregivers as faculty, and in leadership roles in ER, Trauma, and Emergency Preparedness departments.
Tim is a results-focused executive who believes in servant/transformation leadership. Lean/Six Sigma-trained, Tim earned his associate’s degree Nursing in 2001, his Bachelor of Nursing 2003, and his Master of Business Administration in 2013. Tim lives in the area and has been married for 20 years. He has two children, 17 and 14 years of age. When not working, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and taking full advantage of time with family.
